Active Projects

At Business Casual, we believe success is a team sport—and we love working with people who share that mindset. Whether it’s forging strategic partnerships, providing hands-on operational support, or making smart investments, our goal is simple: help good people do great things. We’re not just about business growth; we’re about solving problems, building stronger communities, and having a little fun along the way (After all, “Casual” is in the name for a reason).

What’s New?

Over the past year, we’ve been working on some exciting projects. Below are a few highlights — if anything resonates, let’s connect! Cheers to an exciting year ahead, together.

Warm Regards,

Sanjay Sinniah

Founder & Chief Problem Solver

Meet Lude Ricard. She’s the Founder & CEO of Sunnyside Veterans Consulting, helping veterans with their VA Disability

claims and Compensation benefits.

About Sunnyside Veterans Consulting

Over the last decade, Lude and a group of physicians have helped over a thousand veterans secure their VA benefits, guiding them through bureaucratic roadblocks with a 93% success rate. Before launching Sunnyside Veterans Consulting, Lude owned and operated a physical therapy clinic in San Diego where she witnessed firsthand how many veterans struggled—not just physically, but navigating the VA system.

At Business Casual, we’re collaborating with Lude to scale her impact. We work side by side to set strategies, track progress, and adapt when challenges arise.

If you’re part of a veteran organization, let’s connect!
If you’re a physician looking to help veterans, we’d love to talk.

Meet Andrew Nast. He’s the founder of DML Solutions, a platform revolutionizing streaming payments in the music industry.

While earning platinum & gold-certified music credits, Andrew saw firsthand how artists and industry pros often get paid late — or not at all.

About DML Solutions

Business Casual found this opportunity at the pre-seed stage. Production launch is eminent and tests have been well received by the industry. With all of the exciting partnerships forming, we are glad we got in early! If you’re passionate about fair pay for artists or streaming music, we’d love to chat!

Meet Shane Carpenter. She’s a San Diego real estate agent with Compass, on a mission to create great communities—not just profitable investments. That’s why we focus on multi-family real estate both locally, and in emerging markets.

Let’s Touch Base

If you'd like to discuss our perspectives on real estate opportunities in San Diego, CA and Little Rock, AR.

San Diego, CA: Because we live here. We know the market inside-out, but it’s tough — deals rarely make financial sense.

Little Rock, AR: Fast-growing, affordable, and investor-friendly. It has strong job growth, lower living costs, and a booming rental market. Plus, Sanjay spends Thanksgiving with family in Little Rock every year.

We’re currently underwriting properties and working closely with multiple local brokers. If you’re interested in multifamily investing, or just want to learn more about Little Rock, let’s connect. If you’re already in Little Rock and want to invest in your community, let’s chat.

We own the Schooley Mitchell franchise in San Diego, which helps businesses cut expenses— without cutting quality.

And to showcase our impact, we teamed up with Sundoc Studios to produce a short promo video.

A huge thank you to Western Hills Real Estate & WineSellar & Brasserie for sharing their experiences on camera.

We also collaborated with San Diego Magazine and WineSellar on this article, which was featured on their hompage last month. Check out the article here!

Meet Leah de Leon & Matthew Meredith. They’re the talented duo behind Sundoc Studios, who created our Schooley Mitchell video. But there’s more — Leah is on a mission to bring Filipino food and culture to a global audience.

Kamayan, a hands-on dining tradition where meals are served family-style on banana leaves and eaten without utensils, is at the heart of her documentary.

We’re excited to support her film as she showcases the beauty of this communal experience and its deep cultural significance.

Fun fact: Leah also produced We Are Like Waves, a beautiful documentary about one of the first female Sri Lankan surfers, Sanu. It qualified for the 95th Academy Awards! If you’re a film buff or just love great food, stay tuned for updates!

That’s a Wrap! Thanks for being part of our journey. If anything in this newsletter sparked an idea or curiosity, reach out — I’d love to hear from you.
